HIGH BUILD EPOXY ZINC RICH PRIMER - REF: - 54L68

A two pack polyamide cured epoxy primer containing metallic zinc pigment to provide superior anticorrosive properties.  The zinc content (90%) zinc by weight in the dry film )  creates cathodic protection for the steel in the event of damage to the film.  Ideal for use over blast cleaned steel or as a repair for Inorganic Zinc Rich priming systems.  It may be over coated with a wide range of products including Epoxy, Chlorinated Rubber, Vinyl and Urethane topcoats.  Complies with BS 5463 REF KP B.

SURFACE PREPARATION

 

Ensure surface is free from rust, moisture, oil or other surface contamination.  Blast clean to BS 4232 1967 or Second quality - Swedish standard SA 2.5.

 

APPLICATION

 

AIRLESS SPRAY               Nozzle Size 18-21 thou, Fan Angle - 80°, Tip Pressure 2000-2500 p.s.i.

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

Refer to M.S.D.S. prior to use.  Epoxy Based Products

 

Provide adequate ventilation.  Prolonged skin contact inhalation of vapour must be avoided.  Eye contamination  - Flush with eyewash or warm water for 10 mins.  Clean hands after use.
